About Me

🇩🇪

I first discovered yoga at the age of 40, drawn initially by its physical benefits. However, during a particularly challenging time in my life, I found myself returning to my mat again and again, almost instinctively. It was then that I realized yoga offered me far more than physical strength—it became a source of peace, warmth, and freedom. Every time I left the studio, I felt a renewed sense of clarity and calm. That experience sparked a passion that has stayed with me ever since.

To share this joy, freedom, and transformative potential with others, I completed my 200-hour Teacher Training with Inside Yoga in 2011, under the guidance of Young-Ho Kim (Frankfurt), Barbra Noh (Ubud, Bali), and Richard Hackenberg (Munich).

In 2012, following a severe accident, I had to start over—both physically and mentally. That year, I was introduced to David Regelin and his unique approach to biomechanics, integrating the natural beauty of geometry and human form. Deeply inspired, I pursued his 75-hour Teacher Training in New York City in 2013, alongside his teacher Nevine Michaan and colleagues such as Abbie Galvin, Alex Auder, and Chris Chen. From that point forward, I have been a dedicated student of Nevine Michaan and her teachings, continuing to refine my understanding of yoga’s connection to organic, organized nature.

Through Katonah Yoga®, I’ve developed tools for personal growth and well-being that I now integrate into my teaching. This practice, rooted in Taoist principles, has deepened my understanding of the body’s innate intelligence. By harmonizing body, breath, and form, I guide students toward greater alignment and imagination—not only on the mat but also in how they engage with the world.

In 2017, I became the first certified Katonah Yoga® teacher in Germany and Europe, and the first non-English-speaking of this unusual practice outside the United States.

Since then, I’ve taught workshops, teacher trainings, and presented at yoga conferences, sharing my knowledge with an ever-expanding community.

During the global lockdown, I continued to grow my practice, earning my LYT® Level 1 certification in May 2020 and my LYT® Level 2 certification in December 2021, under Lara Heimann. This training emphasized alignment, functional movement, and active range of motion — principles I incorporate to help students cultivate healthier movement patterns and broader perspectives.

For me, being on the mat is more than a just a physical practice — it’s a way to translate personal insights into meaningful actions in the world. I aim to inspire curiosity, guide others toward better movement and posture, and open the door to a life enriched by vision and imagination.
